Wrecking Laminate Flooring: The Green Light

by Rob on January 7, 2009

The next step, once deciding that we want to test the true strength of our Toklo laminate flooring, was to make sure everyone who’s involved knows about the plan and agrees to it.  This of course involved getting a green light from our CEO, Jeff Booth.  And it also involved getting in our resident flooring expert Matt to agree to do the work.  What did they say?  Watch this:

Note: Matt didn’t actually agree to do the work.  But, we know he really wants to see what can happen to laminate flooring when it’s installed as if it were decking in the dead of a Canadian winter.  So, we’re pretty sure it’s all a go!

I have a lot of respect for a man who admits he is “kind of dainty” and tries to get someone else to install his laminate! Way to go, Marc – I would totally do the same thing.

This is an awesome experiment, guys. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Hey Kate,

We’re excited about the possibilities. We’re kind of flying blind, but that’s kind of the point in some ways. Hopefully, everyone will learn something, whatever it is. And at very least, it’ll be fun to try and wreck something and get paid for it.

Cheers!
